Source is the decision engine for commercial construction product selection. We provide industry-leading data, on-demand experts and manufacturer connections needed to make fast and stress-free product decisions. We help firms unlock higher efficiency in their projects by using technology and data, while still preserving the personal connections and tactile experience that is at the heart of the design process.Â
What is your favorite IIDA event and why?
I’ve really enjoyed the NEXT breakfast series! It’s a great opportunity to come together and be inspired and challenged by leaders and trailblazers from our community that can help bring out new ideas and inspire new ways to solve design problems. Â
What is your favorite product/service offered by your company and why?
I love that we are able to support the local design community by offering research requests. Source is just a phone call or email away when someone is looking to track down a product from a Pinterest photo or needs to find the perfect alternative for a dropped product. Whether the request is big or small, partnering with local designers and reps to deliver solutions is so rewarding!Â
What aspect of your company are you most proud of and why?
I am excited and proud that Source is continuing to invest and grow in both our physical and digital presence. Technology has and will continue to transform the design industry, but the tactical and relationship side of design is something that technology can never fully replace. I am excited to be a part of an organization that sees the value in both of those areas.Â
What value do you see in being an IIDA Oregon Chapter Annual Sponsor?
Being an annual sponsor of IIDA has allowed Source to foster connections with designers, specifiers, local manufacturers’ reps and students who are interested in furthering the Interior Design industry and making Oregon a great place to work and live.Â
What impact do you see the IIDA Oregon Chapter having on the A&D community in Oregon?
The range of educational and networking opportunities that the IIDA Oregon Chapter has been able to offer the local community is really impressive. I have seen a good balance of events and workshops that benefit a wide range of people; from students to principals.
What gets you excited about design?
The opportunity to inform and inspire people in my community to see the impact that design can have and help advocate for good design to be recognized and poor design to be challenged in a thoughtful and empowering way.Â
On a typical Saturday where can we find you?
I love almost any excuse to play outside: hiking, camping, snowboarding, snowshoeing, paddleboarding or fly-fishing…although I’d rather go ice skating than mountain biking :)) When indoors, I can be found mixing (and enjoying) cocktails, expanding my cooking experience while listening to some good music or fanatically watching sports.Â
